2024 Campaign

INTRODUCTION

In 2024, The Earthshot Prize introduced its most ambitious “Meet the Finalists” campaign yet. We created a global storytelling platform aimed at Gen-Z to spotlight 15 groundbreaking innovators tackling the world’s most urgent environmental challenges.

My role was to develop the Art Direction and oversee the visual consistency and creative integration across moving image, social and digital platforms, and OOH experiences. This required balancing cinematic storytelling with accessible, audience-friendly content, while embedding a unified design system into the workflows of our internal creative team, social team, and post-production editors.

We also knew from previous years that momentum is key. In order to build excitement towards the Awards, the campaign needed to roll out at pace, sustain engagement across 50 days, and balance organic and paid distribution strategies. The brief therefore demanded a scalable design language, captivating art direction, and collaborative processes across internal and external teams.

THE BRIEF

The challenge of the campaign was twofold. First, we needed to introduce the finalists as human, bold and creative leaders, not just technologists or entrepreneurs. Their stories had to inspire urgent optimism and connect emotionally with audiences. Second, the visual system had to work across multiple touchpoints — from a flagship YouTube series to cutdowns for social platforms, through to the annual awards show broadcast.
